Roasted pumpkin seeds

Don't discard the seeds from your pumpkin as they are full of valuable nutrients and easy to transform into a tasty snack!


  • 1 1/2 cups of pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tsp melted butter - olive oil or vegetable oil also work well
  • seasoning - optional. Garlic and/or cajun powder; cayenne pepper.


  • 1 Preheat oven to 150°C/300°F/Gas Mark 2.
  • Clean and wash the pumpkin seeds in running water - It is fine to leave some strings and pulp on your seeds as it adds flavour!
  • Toss pumpkin seeds in a bowl with the melted butter or oil and seasonings of your choice.
  • Spread pumpkin seeds in a single layer on baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
