Grown, reared & baked with care
Butchery
Our team of butchers - Jack, Aaron, Cormack & Sam - are all experts in their field. They pride themselves on sourcing the highest-quality, ethically reared meat from local farmers they know and trust.
Our local farmers include Mark Robinson in Gnosall for rare breed beef, Packington Free Range Farm in Tamworth for pork & chicken, plus Rue Barn Farm in Eccleshall for lamb. Our butchers are always ready to share their recommendations, cooking tips and any advice you may need, seven days a week - so feel free to pop in and have a chat.
We are also famous for our homemade sausages, made using Packington Free Range pork. Our beef & pork arrive as a full carcass and our skilled butchers pride themselves on using every cut possible - making our sausages from scratch, home-curing our bacon and making our homemade burgers. It also means we can cut to size and are on hand to help with any cooking tips or advice you require.
We believe in the importance of eating good quality meat and understanding its provenance, which is why we are proud to work with a great team of local farmers to ensure this standard is always met.
Artisan Bakery
Handmade and baked to perfection.
We make and bake everything by hand in our Farm Shop bakery, using premium organic and Cotswold flours. A wide selection of oven-fresh breads, rolls, cakes and pies is available daily: pain aux raisin, Belgian buns, jam, custard & speciality doughnuts (these are a must try!), scones, crusty rolls, a variety of flavoured focaccia, Mediterranean bread, sourdough and much more.
Our head baker, Ian, prides himself on making seasonal produce and, wherever possible, ingredients direct from our farm.
Deli
Homemade pork pies, pasties, luxury sausage rolls, scotch eggs, gourmet pâtés and seasonal salads - just some of the delights that can be found on our deli counter.
We aim to provide predominantly local and British produce, and where possible use suppliers close to our shop to reduce the amount of food miles travelled.
With the opening of our new bakery, we now make freshly cut sandwiches and baguettes - perfect to pick up for a quick snack, or a spur of the moment picnic alongside the canal on a sunny afternoon. If you’re tempted to get something you’ve never tried before, please ask for a little taster before you buy.
Fresh Produce
We work with local farmers to provide the freshest selection of produce possible.
Our milk is from Wells Farm Dairy based in Bradley, Stafford, our free-range eggs are farmed by Ross based in Market Drayton, and we grow a range of fruit & vegetables here at the farm.
Sustainability & our environment are both important to us, so we encourage our customers to bring their own containers & bags. We also sell a variety of reusable bags, food wrap and containers.
Homeware & Hampers
We have a dedicated gift area in our Farm Shop. Food and fresh produce will always be the most important part of our identity, but we now also offer homewares, an ethically made children’s range and eco-friendly products that complement these food products.
We are also pleased to support local creatives such as Aromas at No.4, Wandering Bee, Wriggly Tin Soap, Orla Hope Art, Georgia B Designs Stationery, Emma Bridgewater, Moorland Pottery & Staffordshire Pebble Pictures - to name a few - by stocking their beautiful creations.
We’ve been creating bespoke hampers to order for over 30 years. All you have to do is tell us who the gift is for, their tastes and your budget, and we will carefully select items and beautifully wrap your hamper ready to give to that someone special. We especially like to pack them full of local produce - our Staffordshire hampers are proving our most popular by far!
