Cranberry & Orange Sauce
An easy, delicious tangy homemade cranberry sauce to make any Christmas plate sing!
fresh or frozen cranberries
- grated rind and juice
Wash and drain the cranberries.
Put the water and sugar in a pan.
Gently bring the pan to the boil, stirring till the sugar dissolves.
Simmer till the mixture reduces and becomes a bit syrupy.
Put the cranberries in the pan and simmer till all the cranberries have burst (approx 10 mins)
Remove from the heat & stir in the orange rind and juice.
Put in a bowl and allow to cool then chill in the fridge . The sauce will thicken a little as it cools.
