Knit & Natter Event in honour of NICU Royal Stoke Hospital

Tuesday May 14, 2024

Join us again to help create some blankets and hats for babies within the NICU at Royal Stoke Hospital. Tuesday 14th May from 3pm-5pm

We are pleased to be hosting another Knit & Natter event in honour of the NICU at Royal Stoke Hospital. Our local Neonatal Unit are in need of knitted blankets for the babies that are in their care!

Why not come along and get together with friends whilst helping a fabulous cause.
We have specifications as given to us by the hospital. So if we could please follow these when creating any items for the specialist baby care unit.

Please if we could use wool that doesn’t contain any glitter, using a close-knit stitch, to the size of 20inch square. Thin quilts to the same size would be welcomed, should anybody have any material that needs using up, or muslin squares these can be used for scent swapping.

Tasha the UHNM Fundrasing Officer will also be attending to chat to everyone about the amazing work that the charity does to support our local hospitals and where you amazing creations will end up.

Our Café will be offering free slices of cake to anyone taking part in the Knit and Natter Event and purchasing a hot drink.

We are hoping for a good turn out once more for this very worthy cause, so spread the word to friends and fellow knitters!

Donation baskets will be set up after the event for any creations that are made from the Hospital. We will then pass them on to our Charity contact who will get them over to the unit.

* Materials & Tools are not provided.

Our other chosen charity of the year is St Giles Hospice who are also on the look our for any Knitters or Crochet experts out there! They are running a fantastic fundraising event 'March of the Elephants' and are looking for people to make & donate crochet/ knitted Elephants.
